I am traveling with some friends who have a separate reservation and I would like to know if I am able to modify my port arrival time if I pay my balance before they pay their balance?

Ahoy there, Stacy! Welcome aboard planDisney! Glad to have you alongside while you're planning for an incredible Disney Cruise Line vacation this June! I'm sure that there are so many things you'd like to see, do, and experience, but I'm glad you're thinking of how to make your arrival smooth sailing! That's a planDrew-approved approach if I ever heard one!

Coordinating multiple staterooms can be a bit tricky, especially with some recent changes and updated experiences, but with a weather eye on the horizon, we can do our best to ensure you pull into port without issue!

Port Arrival Times are selected during your Online Check-In process, which starts 30 days before your embarkation date - or should I say 29 days, 23 hours, 59 minutes, and 59 seconds before! Luckily, since all Guests must have made their final payment before checking in, the matter of when the final balance is paid has no bearing on when your port arrival time is! If you're looking to synch up your Port Arrival Times, your best bet would be for all parties to have paid in full and be ready to log into your account as soon as the clock strikes midnight Eastern time to complete Online Check-in. There's a great checklist available in the Know Before You Go information that I highly suggest you read to be sure you have everything squared away!

Once you've satisfied all portions of your pre-cruise checklist and will be ready to spend the next 29 days just dreaming of all the excitement that's included with your Disney Cruise Line vacation! Just remember to complete your Safe Passage requirements as well! If after checking in your Port Arrival Times still don't match, you can always continue to check periodically for times that will synch up - but like the tides, this is always subject to change!

I hope that helps you chart your final course for adventure, Stacy! Thank you so much for your question, and if any others pull you off-course, please sail our way again here at planDisney!

Until then, may your anchor be tight and your compass true!

    Andrew
