I am traveling with 5 of my friends(1 of them is my cousin, and the other one is my sister), and I was wondering if I should get the dining plan on the ticket.

Hi, Madeline!    It can be a challenge planning a vacation when you have a group of friends and family to plan for!   You might want to send a group email out to your travel gang and ask their opinions.   Let them know that to add the Disney Dining Plan is about $39.99 per day, and covers one snack, one quick service meal and one table service meal.   If you are planning to make reservations for one table service meal each day of your vacation, this is a good route to go.   If this fits everyone's budget, go for it!   (Remember, though, you need to be staying on property and have at least a 1 day park admission ticket for each person included in your package.)

If everyone feels the Dining Plan is pushing their budgets too far and prefer to stick with counter service, you can opt for the Quick Service Plan (about $29.99) and includes a refillable mug for your resort.   For more information on the Dining Plan, click HERE.

Price out your vacation both ways, let your travel partners know their options, and choose what works best.   The Dining Plan is a nice way to go for group dining so you aren't all having to split the bill at the end of your meals and figure out what everyone owes.   It really does simplify things!   Also check for special offers on the Disney website.  If you travel during certain dates this fall, dining is included FREE!   Good luck, and have fun!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
