    We will be traveling to Fort Wilderness soon to celebrate Halloween. I received an email today with the October Recreation Calendar but noticed that there was no mention of trick or treating times as has been on it in previous years? Any insite?

    Hi Shannon! We checked in a few weeks ago and I too questioned the lack of trick or treating listed on the calendar. We were greeted by a manager who is a friend and I asked him about this. He assured me that Fort Wilderness Campground would indeed be holding their annual Trick or Treating. This will take place on Halloween, October 31, which is a Monday night. All of the other activities on the recreation calendar are correct too.

    I was happy to hear this as I had brought hundreds of Halloween pencils and other goodies to give out with candy and was wondering what I was going to do with all of that if we didn't have trick or treating! I will be passing out the treats at the NFL cemetery in loop 600!  It looks to be another great weekend at Fort Wilderness with all of the fun activities they have planned including the beach party this year!
