Howdy, Chabela and welcome back to planDisney!
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground is my favorite Resort at Walt Disney World! I have been camping there since I was a child, so I love bringing my own family to make new camping memories with them. There is something so peaceful about staying there, but also knowing that you're so close to the magic. I just love being able to hear the train whistle from
Magic Kingdom Park when I'm hanging out at my campsite.
No trip to Fort Wilderness is complete without
renting a golf cart. It's our favorite activity! We love to joy ride around the campground and visit each loop to see all of the amazing lights and decorations that other campers have set up. I spoke with a friendly Cast Member about the drop-off time for golf carts and they confirmed that 11:00 AM is a strict rule. If you want to continue using your golf cart past the drop off time, you will need to reserve it for an additional day. You could still ask a Cast Member when you pick it up about an extension, but I would prepare yourself for them to say no. Fort Wilderness has gained so much popularity that there really isn't a slow season anymore, so they need to make sure they collect the carts to charge them before new Guests arrive to pick up their rentals.
It's so exciting that your trip is coming up in just a couple of weeks!
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival is in full swing, so I highly suggest heading over to the park to check it out. We love finding our favorite
character topiaries and I especially love tasting my way around World Showcase. I love that Snow White is a featured character for this year's festival and there's so many cute festival merchandise items with my favorite princess on them!
Please stop back by if you have any additional vacation planning questions.
Have a magical day!
