We are traveling the first week of July 2012. We want to purchase a 1-day hopper pass at the gate. Is there usually a long wait to purchase tickets at the gate? Since we are purchasing a hopper, which park should we go to first and what time do parks open?

    Hi Ana Mai!

Since you will be coming during a busy time of year (July 4th), you can expect lines to be fairly long. My suggestion is to start at the Magic Kingdom and purchase just a one day non-park hopper ticket. If you decide you want to leave and check out another park, you can upgrade your ticket to a park hopper at any time at Guest Relations.

The lines to purchase tickets at the Ticket and Transporation Center at the Magic Kingdom will be heavy, especially first thing in the morning. There are tons of ticket booths open, so the lines should move fairly quick. You can also take a chance and go straight to the Guest Relations window next to the turnstiles at the Magic Kingdom. The lines could be smaller there. If you are in town prior to the day you will be visiting the parks, you can head to Downtown Disney and purchase your tickets at Guest Relations. That way, you won't have to mess with standing in line the morning of and you can head straight into the gates to start your day.

The Magic Kingdom opens at 9am the first week of July.

    Have a magical day!
