We are traveling for our first visit May 2 - 8th 2010 with my sons 5 & 7 who love pirates. I noticed several different pirate themed cruises for little guys. What, besides the locations, is the difference between them?

Hi, Marianne!  Your first visit....and with two swash-buckling pirates in tow? How exciting!  The Pirate Adventure Cruises are for children ages 4-12 which set sail from the Grand Floridian, the Caribbean Beach, the Port Orleans Riverside and the Yacht and Beach Clubs on select days.  It's essentially the same cruise with pirate stories, bandannas and treasure hunts although the pirate stories may vary according to location. This activity usually sets sail from 9:30-11:30 a.m., and you can call 407-WDW-PLAY for more information and to book a cruise for your pirates.

For more buccaneer adventures, the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage sets sail from the Contemporary.  Captain Hook and Mr. Smee are there to give you a proper send off, and there's a special surprise guest waiting for you upon your return.  Unlike the day cruise, anyone under 17 must be accompanied by an adult, and you'll want to call 407-WDW-PLAY to book your cruise before your vacation.  On this voyage, you'll have a perfect vantage point for Wishes, and on some nights, you'll see the Electrical Water Pageant.  The cost of the cruise includes a snack, and during the time you're at WDW, the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage is scheduled to sail seven days a week.

To round out the whole piratical fantasy, your crew may want to leave their land-lubber legs behind and take on a whole new persona with The Pirates League.  Located inside the Magic Kingdom at the East India Trading Company in Adventureland, Pirate Masters change the identity of guests of all ages. They'll even paint a skeleton on your skin!  There are packages ranging in price from $49.95 to $124.95, and reservations can be made by calling 407-WDW-CREW.

That's probably more pirate talk than you bargained for, but I sure hope that helps!  Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation!
