Hi! I will be traveling for the first time to disney with an 8yr old and 6yr old, what can we not miss with those aged children and a value hotel or should we go for the moderate hotel?? Thank you!

There is nothing quite like a first trip to Walt Disney World. This is where magic and memories are made. Your two kids will have a great time. With my 7 and 9 year old we always start at the Magic Kingdom and go on all the 'mountain' rides. Space Mountain is a the must see attraction in Tomorrowland. This thrill ride will hurl you through 'shooting stars, celestial satellites, spinning black holes and shimmering constellations.' From there head on over to the to the old west in Frontierland for a ride on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Hold on tight as you zip past the scenic mountains and old western shops and houses " 'cause this here's the wildest ride in the wilderness." Lastly, say hello to Br'er Rabbit , Br'er Bear and the rest of the fun animatronic gang on this water ride. You will take a journey to the laughing place but be careful, you might get wet! Your kids will enjoy these thrill rides and so much more at the Happiest Place on Earth. As for where to stay, my family of four usually stick to the moderate resorts. The offer such great variety with all the Disney guest services and pixie dust magic that makes each vacation a dream. I hope you all have a great trip and feel free to ask me any other questions to enhance your vacation.

As a Los Angeles native I basically grew up at Disneyland. It has always been so easy to take my family on the short drive to the Happiest Place on Earth. Watching my daughters make magical memories reminds me why I keep coming back. Learn More About Ari
