I will be traveling in a few weeks with DS7 and DS2. Purchased the dining plan that offers 1 snack, 1 QS and 1 TS per person per day. I was told I would have to share my meals with my DS2. I need some suggestions on snacks and QS and how to stretch it out!

Hi Alita - I'm glad to hear that you have the dining plan.  In my family's experience, the dining plan really does provide the best value.  You are correct that with the dining plan, you will share your meals with your two-year old son, unless you choose to purchase a meal for him separately.

To stretch out your meals, I recommend using some of your table service credits at buffets, where you'll be able to get your son his own plate.  This is especially useful if he has a large appetite.

For quick service meals, I find that some of them are so large that you'll be able to easily share them.  My favorite table service locations are:

    • Animal Kingdom: Flame Tree BBQ - huge, shaded seating area and large portions
    • Epcot: Tangerine Cafe in Morocco and Cantina de San Angel in Mexico have large portions and great food
    • Magic Kingdom: Cosmic Rays has lots of options and a big seating area
    • Disney's Hollywood Studios: I love getting the turkey legs, which are gigantic and definitely a way to stretch the budget.
For snacks, I like to get muffins and bagels in the morning at my resort as a quick and easy breakfast.  That way, I can use my quick service and table service credits for lunch and dinner.

You can also use snack credits on a huge variety of snacks throughout the park - I always try to save a few for rice crispy treats at Goofy's Snack Company in Downtown Disney.  My kids always love to use their credits on popcorn in the parks, which actually is pretty filling!

I hope that helps!  Have a great vacation!
