I am traveling with my family to WDW in Jan. We are getting the dining plan, and I am wondering about the quick-serve options in the Beach Club/Yacht Club/Boardwalk hotel areas. Will we make good use of quick-serve meals in one of the restaurants there?

I just returned from staying at the Beach Club.

While I made use of my refillable mug during the day, I found it odd that the Marketplace which offers beverages for the mugs closed along with the gift store at 11 p.m. I think this is one of the downfalls to the new trend of attaching the gift shop to the “food court” areas. After arriving back late on my first evening with only a water bottle left from the airport, I purchased a beverage to keep in my room’s refrigerator for the next night. There is only one vending area as well that is quite far from most rooms.

Inside the Beach Club Marketplace there are a few cold sandwich and dessert options. There are some kid friendly options too. They also serve a limited breakfast menu.

I ventured out to Hurricane Hanna’s Grille by the Stormalong Bay pool where I waited for 25 minutes for my nuggets and chips. I know, healthy right? But I wanted comfort food after having traveled all day. Those places along with the Ale and Compass Lounge would be your quick service choices at the Yacht and Beach Club resorts.

At the Boardwalk, you’d be able to utilize the Boardwalk bakery which serves items for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

While you can certainly utilize the Disney Dining Plan at the above quick-service locations, you will not find a large variety of options among these Epcot resorts. Here, you are staying in the land of the table-service restaurants located at the resorts and inside Epcot’s World Showcase.

To better judge your counter service choices, see the menus at allearsnet.com. By the way, I do love staying in this location at WDW!
