Aloha, Shanon! E komo mai and mahalo for swinging by planDisney with your question. Your ‘ohana must be excited beyond belief to be visiting the Happiest Place on Earth soon! Like Moana, how wonderful to be sailing (or flying) beyond the reef over to Anaheim.
Trips in groups are so much fun – sharing the magic with others is very special. Just recently my ‘ohana and I traveled to
Disneyland Resort with friends and it was a blast! I am happy to hear you’re thinking in advance about
Disney Genie+ because you can save hours of time waiting in queues by dashing through
Lightning Lanes. Within the
Disneyland mobile app, it is easy to link tickets, so one person can reserve Lightning Lanes for the whole group. A party can have a maximum of 10 people, and multiple people in your party can link the tickets. On our recent group trip, three of us linked all the tickets in our party, so any of us could manage logistics for us all. Within the Disneyland mobile app, click on “Tickets and Passes” and tap the little “+” in the top right corner. You’ll then tap on “Link Tickets & Passes” and you can scan barcodes or enter the ID numbers manually.
Personally, I don’t see any disadvantages to linking the tickets. If anything, it made things simpler for us as we could reserve Lightning Lanes together, make
dining reservations together, place
mobile dining orders together, and join
Mobile Dine Walk-up Availability lists together. It was very convenient to keep our entire clan of Mouseketeers synched up! Also, you can opt to include only certain members of the party in reservations, which helps too.
Another magical feature of Disney Genie+ is that you get complimentary access to
Disney PhotoPass for the day, which gives you unlimited digital downloads. This includes photos taken by
Disney PhotoPass Photographers (you can find their locations in the app) and the candid, fun photos captured on attractions. We have dozens of bright and cheerful Disney PhotoPass snaps to remember the fun we had!
Shanon, as Gramma Tala sings to Moana, “The people you love will change you. The things you have learned will guide you.” Have a magical vacation and let your spirit be your guide! A hui hou,
Kamini
