We are traveling with family and will have separate rooms. One room (family) wants the quick service dining plan. The other room (family) does not want a dining plan at all. Is this possible?

Welcome to planDisney, Heather! Thanks so much for coming to us with your question today. Traveling with family to Walt Disney World with family is always extra special, and it's great that you're thinking ahead about how to make it work best for everyone.

You'll be happy to know that, yes, it is absolutely possible for each room in your group to make their own choice about whether or not to use the Disney Dining Plan. Even if your parties are linked in My Disney Experience so you can plan together, which will come in super handy for coordinating dining reservations, the dining plan is tied directly to your Resort Hotel reservation, not your friends list or planning party.

That means if one room wants to go with the Quick-Service Dining Plan and the other prefers no dining plan at all, that's totally fine! Each room is free to pick the option that best fits their budget and vacation style. This flexibility is great when you're traveling with different ages, appetites, or dining preferences. Some people love the convenience of having their snacks and meals paid for in advance, and others like to play it by ear! Both planning styles are totally fine, and you can pick whatever works best for you. Just make sure to select your preferences when booking each room's package. If you need help with the dining plan after you book, the Disney Resort Hotel Reservation line is there to help you!

I hope this answers your question, Heather, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation.
