Hi! We are traveling with another family. They have purchased the dining plan, we have not. I have made reservations in my name for a party of 10. They will be using their dining credits, we will be paying out of pocket. How does this work?

Welcome to Disney Parks Moms Panel, Jennifer!

Ooh, you must be so excited for your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World! While I love traveling with our immediate family, bringing more friends along for the ride means more magical moments together!

Traveling with multiple families at Walt Disney World is not only fun, but it's also super-easy, even when dining together at any of the fabulous Table Service Restaurants. When your server first greets you at your table, they will ask you how you will be paying for your meal. At that time, simply identify who will be using Disney Dining Plan entitlements and who will be paying out of pocket. When ordering, your server will be able to help those on a Disney Dining Plan navigate the menu based on what's included, too. If they's like to order something extra, that will be added to their bill. Easy peasy.

After you have enjoyed your delicious meal, you will be able to pay separately. Keep in mind that parties of 6 or more will be charged an automatic 18% gratuity, so that will be reflected on your bills; of course, you can always add more if your service was extra-pixie dusted. You'll pay that gratuity separately, too.

Have so much fun planning your visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth, Jennifer! Be sure to send us more questions as you think of them, too. We love to help!
