Hiya, Margie!
What could be more wonderful than experiencing the magic of the Disneyland Resort? Sharing that experience with others! I’m excited that you have the opportunity to share this joy with another family.
You are right. In the past, the Disneyland Resort did have a friends and family list as an experimental feature on the Disneyland Resort website. While the Walt Disney World Resort continues to feature a My Family and Friends List in My Disney Experience, this capability has been discontinued for the Disneyland Resort.
Although there is no formal friends and family list at the Disneyland Resort, parties visiting the Disneyland Resort may still link with each other in key ways. Guests may share their
theme park ticket IDs with each other to link within the
Disneyland mobile app. When you have your tickets all linked to your accounts in the Disneyland app, you may do things like purchase and manage the
Disney Genie+ service together. This lets you book
Lightning Lane return times for all of the group’s tickets at once.
Individual Lightning Lane return times for attractions not included with Genie+ may also be purchased for the entire group this way.
Guests sharing a room or suite at a
Disneyland Resort Hotel may also link their hotel reservation to multiple
Disney accounts. To link a hotel reservation, open the “My Hotel Reservation” screen from the ☰ feature menu of the Disneyland app. With the reservation number, last name of the primary Guest, and the arrival date, you can easily link your hotel reservation. The primary Guest may also grant permission for other Guests to use their devices to
unlock their hotel room door.
Note that
dining reservations may only be linked to one Disney account. I find it convenient to text a screenshot of reservations so the whole group can stay on the same page. The mobile check-in will still need to be done from the account used to book the reservation. But any device with the Disneyland mobile app installed may be used to look over the menus of restaurants while you await your table.
I hope you all have a magical time, Margie!
