Welcome to planDisney! You’ve come to the right place for help planning your Walt Disney World visit. Early November is such a fantastic time to visit. Disney World starts decorating for Christmas immediately after Halloween. Decor and experiences start happening in phases, but you should be able to experience some of the holiday magic during your stay. You have a few options for your visit - let’s hop in and get some answers!
Currently, Walt Disney World has a
ticket promotion for a 2-day, 2-park ticket for select parks. This ticket deal will definitely save some cash, but keep in mind that the 2 parks that you can visit with this particular ticket deal are EPCOT and Animal Kingdom. If you’d like to visit Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios (with little ones, I’m sure you might. I also have a 7-year-old, and he would disown me if he didn’t get to see his buddies in Hollywood Studios’
Toy Story Land while we were visiting! Come to think of it, so would my Buzz Lightyear-loving teenager!), you’ll want to consider purchasing a
standard 2-day park ticket.
Stephanie, I want you to also know that the very first
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party of the season will also be happening during your visit. This separately ticketed event is one of the best special events in Magic Kingdom. You’ll celebrate the season with your favorite characters dressed in their holiday best, enjoy festive foods and drinks, experience some attractions with special holiday overlays, and experience the best holiday entertainment like Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade and Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show. This event runs on select nights in November and December from 7 p.m. - Midnight, and the very first party is on November 8. That just happens to be your last park day! Since party guests can enter Magic Kingdom as early as 4 p.m. on party nights, I think you could easily purchase a 1-day park ticket for your other park day and purchase tickets for/plan to attend this party as your second park day. Enjoy your
Disney Resorts Collection hotel on your party day - hit the pool, eat at the quick service location or your favorite resort table service restaurant (don't forget to make reservations!), make sure the little ones take their naps and/or relax during the day, and head out to enjoy the evening festivities during the party. Since this is a special ticketed event, there will be a lower guest capacity and tickets are likely to sell out. If you think this might be the plan for you, you’ll want to act fast.
