Hi Rebekah,
Welcome back to planDisney and thank you for your question!
Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon is such a fun Water Park and there’s a lot for little ones to do there. First,
Castaway Creek is for any height and all age groups, so I believe you could float with your one year old in the lazy river. Just remember to grab your inner tube and follow the direction of the Cast Members.
There’s also
Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool, which is the wave pool in the middle of the Park. You and your son could sit at the edge of the pool (the zero entry portion) and splash around. You’ll want to be mindful of the waves which will reach 6 feet within the pool, then trickle to the outer edge. You can also consider
Ketchakiddee Creek which is a splashpad area for kids 48 inches and shorter.
Keep in mind that Typhoon Lagoon is currently closed for the season, so you’ll need to monitor when it will open back up within the coming months. If the Park isn’t open when you’ll be traveling, check out
Disney’s Blizzard Beach for attractions like
Tike’s Peak or
Ski Patrol Training Camp! Final Tip: Remember that guests under the age of three won’t need a
ticket for any Park.
I hope this “Bit By Bryanna” is helpful as you prepare for your next vacation. If you have any other planning or vacation questions in the meantime,
please feel free to reach out, I’m always happy to help!
