Ahoy, Minnie!
I am so excited that you and your extended family have a Disney cruise on the calendar. It truly is the best vacation for all ages!
This does come up often for families: one child is invariably under age three and cannot participate in an activity onboard Disney Cruise Line. In this instance, she would not be able to go in Oceaneer Club or Oceaneer Lab (except during Open House hours). But there are so many more things that you will be able to do as a family!
I’m talking deck parties,
Broadway-quality shows like "Tangled: The Musical" on the Disney Magic and "Frozen: A Musical Spectacular" on the Disney Wonder, first-run Disney movies, and the list goes on and on! There will be plenty of shared opportunities in the pools and splash zones (
Nemo's Reef on the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy; Nephews' Splash Zone on the Disney Magic; and Mickey's Splash Zone on the Disney Wonder).
Character Greetings are always a big hit and open to guests of all ages. One fun character meet and greet I think all of you would enjoy is the Princess Gathering where Disney princesses show up for hugs, autographs, and photos. To reserve tickets before your cruise begins, visit the "My Cruise Activities" tab on the Disney Cruise Line website.
While the older cousins are in the Youth Clubs, your daughter can go to her “club”:
"it's a small world" nursery. Your toddler will be able to enjoy playtime, toys, games and Disney movies. Time in the nursery is available for an additional fee and requires a reservation, so I’d suggest booking a time during your sailing when you think the other kids will be in their Youth Clubs.
Cruise back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel if you have any additional questions before you set sail. I hope your crew enjoys making memories on your upcoming cruise!
SEA ya real soon!
