Hi there, Lisa! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
Let me just say: the plan you describe is exactly what my family does every time we visit
Epcot. I am a huge fan of morning
Extra Magic Hours, because mornings are usually cooler, the crowds are a little lighter than later in the day, and – most importantly – who doesn’t want to start their day the magical way? I love morning skies in Florida, and seeing Epcot’s
Spaceship Earth against a blue-sky backdrop and balmy palm trees is just the morning pixie dust I need for the best day ever.
In my experience, Lisa,
Kringla Bakeri og Kafe in Epcot’s Norway Pavilion does open with morning Extra Magic Hours. My family tries to arrive at least 30 minutes before rope drop so we can get in a good position to head straight to Norway. Once we ride
Frozen Ever After, our next stop is usually Kringla Bakeri og Kafe for some sweet breakfast treats. My husband and I love the Rice Cream, while our Mouseketeers typically choose whatever sweet treat looks good that morning (and they ALL do!). They even have coffee and lattes on the menu, which is perfect for those early mornings. My other favorite breakfast spot is right across the World Showcase in France:
Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie. Everything in this French bakery is delicious, but I especially love the Jambon Beurre sandwich and the Macaron with raspberry and lime cream. Yum! Be sure to check a Times Guide as you enter Epcot, as times are subject to change without notice.
Enjoy your Epcot day! If you decide to stop by Anna and Elsa’s
Royal Sommerhus to meet the royal sisters, take the time to notice all the lovely details in their summer home as you wait in the queue. I love to meet Anna and Elsa because they are so much fun to talk with; my kids love to talk to Anna about her favorite shops in Arendelle, and Elsa might even show you how to use ice magic if you ask nicely.
Lisa, your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is right around the corner! Have so much fun counting down to the magic, and please come back and see us if you have any further questions as you plan and dream.
Now, more than ever, it’s an amazing time to visit Walt Disney World, and I hope you have the best time!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
