Hi we will be traveling end of July to Disney and heard the heat can be brutal..are most attractions in some shaded areas and any suggestions for beating the heat or cool down.

    Hi Vilma,

Welcome to Disney Parks Moms Panel. I can talk from experience about heat. I live in Rio de Janeiro, a super hot city in Brazil and I visit WDW many times in July, because it’s when schools here have a break. Go really early to the parks, ride all you can at early morning. Around 11:00 a. m. stop for lunch. After lunch, avoid the heat by going on air conditioned attractions or shows like:  Finding Nemo – The Musical, Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage. Great options are the 3D attractions too. You can go back to your resort and take a nap, shop at the resort store or swim and relax a little at your resort pool. Around 16:30 p.m. you will feel that the sun is giving up and you can enjoy the rest of the day returning to the park to ride all the attractions and wait for the fireworks. Stay very well hydrated and use sun screen all the time.

    Have a magical day!
