We will be traveling in early December. What is the average temperature during the day and what dress attire would be comfortably worn?

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Paige! I'm so happy to be back again today to answer another vacation planning question for you.

Early December is one of my favorite times of the year to travel and one of the reasons I'm always at Walt Disney World at that time of year is because the weather is usually pretty mild. I find that, for the most part, the temperature is in the low to mid-70s during the day, and can sometimes creep up close to 80 degrees. I will say, though, that sometimes the weather in Florida can be pretty unpredictable. I traveled the week after Thanksgiving in 2017 and it was unseasonably hot! My husband and I were in shorts and t-shirts every day when we thought we would be in our jeans and sweatshirts. Fast forward to exactly one year later and you could find me huddling under my friend and fellow panelist Julie's jacket when it dipped into the 30s when we were watching IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth at Epcot.

Because of this, my best advice for traveling in early December is to pack layers and bring them with you into the theme parks during the day. I find leggings to be really comfortable in the late fall, so I'll wear those and a t-shirt with either a light jacket or a sweatshirt on top. When it gets warmer in the afternoon, I can stash the outer layers in my backpack and pull them back out if it gets chilly at night. I also really like to bring a large, lightweight scarf that I can wear around my neck or wrap around my shoulders. Keep an eye on the weather as your vacation gets closer, and the forecast will let you know if you need to pack anything else, like gloves or a warm hat, which can definitely come in handy sometimes.

I hope this answers your questions, Paige, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation!
