What a wonderful vacation for everyone to share in the kid's first WDW visit . It is sure to be memorable!
I would suggest a dinner reservation at
Chef Mickey’s. After dinner, take the monorail to the Polynesian and gather the group on the beach to watch the Wishes fireworks. The kids can play in the sand while you wait for the show to begin. Moms can take a break and shop in the hotel while Dads watch the kids. Hey, I know Moms need a little time on their own! This plan would also work well with dining at the Grand Floridian’s
1900 Park Fare with Cinderella. You could then go to the boat dock to see the fireworks.
I’ve found that buffet meals always work well when dining with a large group. You don’t have to find a menu that pleases everyone. We’ve also dined at Crystal Palace with Winnie the Pooh and friends with a large group. Everyone spent time touring the park (breaking up in to smaller groups) and then we met for a group lunch. It was fun to share stories about what attractions we all saw and then watch the kids share time with the characters.
Another idea would be to have everyone meet in Toontown one morning for a picture with Mickey Mouse (just go through Mickey’s House to meet the Head Mouse). Then enjoy Toontown and Fantasyland (as a group or separately) followed by lunch at the Crystal Palace or even Cinderella’s Royal Table.
There are also
fireworks cruises that would be fun as a group. The price starts at $225 tax included (prices subject to change). This can be a good deal if multiple families pitch in on the cost.
I hope your group has a magical time.
