    Traveling to DW 2/14-2/20. Any suggestions for clothing? I am bringing my children and I am wondering if I need winter coats and hat? Thanks.

    Hi Billie! If you asked anyone down in Florida over the last few days they would probably say YES...bring ski parkas!  They have just had one of the unusual cold spells this last week and even the airports were delayed waiting for the frost to thaw off the airplanes in the mornings!

    But the good news is that it is indeed unusual and when they do get a cold snap it is not long lived.  The average high temperature for February is 74 and the average low is 51.  Whenever I have visited at this time of year I make sure we all dress in layers.  When you start out early in the morning you will want wraps of light jackets or sweatshirts.  During the day when the sun comes out it will get warm and you will want those wraps off.  Then as the sun sets and the temperatures drop you start looking once again for the jacket.  Bring a compact bag to stuff everything in when you are not using them.

    About five days from your vacation date check the weather channel website (weather.com) as they will give a 7 day forecast for Orlando by typing in the city and state.  This will give you an idea if anything unusual might be coming as far as temperatures, rainfall, etc.
