We are traveling to DW 6/7-6/13, staying at a campsite in Ft Wilderness Campground. We're visiting MK on Sat, 6/8. We have reservations at Mickey's Backyard BBQ at 6:30 on 6/8. Please tell me what time we should plan to leave MK that day? Thanks

    Hi Christine,

I'm excited for you to be experiencing The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness AND Mickey's Backyard BBQ! What a great plan you have there. I like to arrive early to important dates with Mickey Mouse and company, so if I were you I'd plan on leaving Magic Kingdom no later than 5:00 p.m. and travel via boat to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort.

Because the venue is first come, first served seating (typically with surprise guests before the show!) I'd recommend arriving a bit early. Leaving between 4:45 and 5:00 should give you plenty of time to enjoy the scenery of your boat ride and catch a couple of photo opportunities with your favorite Disney Characters before the show.

Be sure to bring your cowboy appetite and your dancin' shoes! I hope your family has a rootin' tootin' time at Mickey's Backyard BBQ, Christine.
