Hi, there!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Andrew. Congratulations on your new addition! There's nothing better than a new baby in the house.
One of my favorite things about the Walt Disney World Resort is that the magic is perfect for Guests of ALL ages - even itty bitty Guests! I'm so excited to hear you're planning a visit with a baby in tow. My daughter was 11-months old when she made her first visit to the theme parks last summer, and she had the best time!
You are certainly most welcome to take water into the theme parks. I usually pack six to eight water bottles in a soft-sided cooler for the day. If we run out before heading back to our Resort hotel, I know I can politely request a complimentary cup of ice water from most Quick-Service dining locations. Hydration is essential when you're nursing, and in the hot Florida sun this summer, you'll want to be extra vigilant about drinking enough! Speaking of the July heat, I recommend nursing your baby in one of the many air-conditioned spaces throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. You'll both be much more comfortable out of the sun! Each of the theme parks has a conveniently located
Baby Care Center featuring a private nursing room (with air-conditioning!), but the Walt Disney World Resort supports nursing women and you are free to breastfeed wherever you so choose. I've fed my babies in restaurants and even on a few attractions! As long as the baby and I were both cool, we were both comfortable and happy.
Andrew, I have lots of other
tips to keep your baby cool and content at the Walt Disney World Resort this summer. I hope you find them helpful! Please visit us again soon with any new questions you may have.
