We will be traveling to DW 10/9-10/15 for the first time! there will be 5 adults and 2 kids (7 and 5 yrs). We have reservations for dinning already! We are overwhelmed with what to do when! Any suggestions on what to do when?

    Hello Corey,

You are so close to your first Disney vacation! I'm getting goose bumps just thinking of it. I can only imagine how excited you and your family must be!

Now, glance away from the computer and breathe. Ahhhhhh, isn't that better?

Remind yourself: Disney is the happiest place on Earth. That's why you are going! Don't feel overwhelmed. There are so many great things to do at Disney World. So I would first recommend taking a look DisneyWorld.com and browsing the various attractions. Get a feel for what your family may like. This way you can walk into a Theme Park having "planned" what attractions are must-hits.

Also, if you're staying at one of the many Disney Resorts, one of the easiest ways to enjoy the Parks is to take advantage of Extra Magic Hours (EMH). My family often uses the evening EMH. We find that most Guests will leave the Theme Park after the fireworks show, leaving a lot of attractions with minimal wait times! But shhhhh... don't share my secret with everyone!

One last suggestion is to take a cue from your kids. Touring the Parks can get tiring, so feel free to lounge by the pool that evening instead of eating out. No one will take away your Mickey ears because of it.

Good luck. And enjoy your trip!

My family loves our Main Street in Ohio. But there's simply no comparison to Main Street U.S.A.! We don't get to Disney quite as often as I'd like, but that just means finding new ways to sprinkle Pixie Dust on our adventures! Learn More About Monina
