Traveling to DW in Feb2012 with 5yo and 4yo twins for first time! We currently have BLT villa reserved but keep wondering if we should switch to GF villa to save a little $. With kids this age, any thoughts on BLT vs GF villa? Thanks

    Hi Sarah!

I'm going to assume that GF villa in your question refers to the Grand Floridian Resort.  If I'm wrong, just write back!

Bay Lake Tower is a Disney Deluxe Villa located right next to Disney's Contemporary Resort (and the two are attached by a bridge).  Guests at either can walk to the Magic Kingdom in about 5 minutes or take the monorail via the monorail station located inside the Contemporary (one of the things children love to see is the monorail going in to and out of the Contemporary).  The Contemporary has one of the most popular Disney Character Dining experience:  Chef Mickey's.

The Grand Floridian is also located on the Magic Kingdom monorail loop; it's located also directly across the Seven Seas Lagoon from the Contemporary.  It's theme is Victorian, though I think its theming is lost on most children.  It does have a very nice pool, however, that most children love.  It too is home to one of the most popular Disney Character Dining experience:  1900 Park Fare.

Personally, I prefer Bay Lake Tower and the Contemporary over the Grand Floridian, but both are great resorts to stay in!  I do like the convenience of walking to and from the Magic Kingdom, which can only be done from Bay Lake Tower and the Contemporary.  That said, my favorite monorail resort is the Polynesian, so you might also consider that one.  With the monorail, all provide easy access to the Magic Kingdom.

I hope this helps!  Write back with more questions!
