We are traveling to DW with extended family, and are staying in 3 different rooms at Coronado Springs. We've requested adjoining rooms in Cabanas 9B, but the other 2 parties arrive a day after we do. Would your recommend checking in on-line or in person?

My online check-in experience in September at the French Quarter was wonderful.  My King room had a great view, and I was very pleased with the entire check-in process.  FYI: online check-in is not an impersonal experience where you go to a Disney kiosk and just pick up your room key (like at some large hotel chains).  You will still be greeted personally by a Cast Member who will give you your resort packet and key.  And best of all for you, you're welcome to ask at that time about your remaining party.

Although it is my understanding that checking-in online doesn't affect your room placement, as Disney assigns rooms well in advance of arrival, I've heard conflicting reports from my fellow Disney Moms of their online check-in experiences in comparison to my flawless check-in.

The beauty of online check-in is that it saves time--and it does.  But if you're concerned about the other two rooms, and don't mind possibly standing in line to check-in, wait for your peace of mind and do it in person.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
