Traveling to DW in Aug 2011 for 10 nights with husband, 2 kids (10 mo & 3yrs), mother and mother in law along with 13 & 15 yr old boys. Which deluxe villa is best considering who were traveling with Bay Lake Towers or Animal Kingdom?

    Hi Chacora!

Sounds like a great group!  The Animal Kingdom Lodge is amazing and I think that ALL of the kids will love the animals and awesome kids programs here.  The entire resort is alive with the wonderful smells and theming of Africa and you could honestly spend your entire vacation just checking out all that there is to offer here!

That being said, the Animal Kingdom Lodge is the most remote of all Disney resorts.  Other than the Animal Kingdom Theme Park, everything else requires a little more travel time than the other choices on property.  On the other hand, Bay Lake Towers is literally next door to the Magic Kingdom - you can even walk if you would like!  Considering that you will have two young ones, it will be really nice to hop on the monorail and run back to the room for naps or for respite from the August heat.  Your mom and mother in law would probably appreciate the ease of travel as well.  Both the Magic Kingdom and Epcot are accessed by monorail and Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios are accessed by bus.  The two older "dudes" in your group will have more freedom here as well.  All of the rooms are located within one central tower, with the pool located right outside the back door.  This resort can only be entered with your guest key, so you may feel a little more comfortable allowing the two older boys to explore the resort on their own.

It is also the newest resort on property and it is truly breathtaking!  Whatever your choice, both are truly amazing in their own way - have fun!
