We are traveling during the Christmas and want to spend 1/2 a day traveling to all the decorated hotels. Which ones are 'must-sees' and how do we travel between them? Others have suggested the G.F., Poly, Contemp, Beach & Yacht Club, and the AK Lodge

    Hi Jennifer!

That's a great way to take a break from the parks.  I  agree with the list you have, though I would throw in the Wilderness Lodge and maybe the Boardwalk as well.  Fort Wilderness is also spectacular if you visit the campsites at night!

The Grand Floridian, Polynesian, and Contemporary Resorts are all on the Magic Kingdom Monorail line making it very easy to get to.  If you're staying at a resort with bus service to the Magic Kingdom, just take the bus to the Magic Kingdom (don't worry, you won't need park admission).  Once at the bus stop, either walk to the Contemporary or to the Magic Kingdom Monorail Station.  If you take the monorail, be sure to get on the resort monorail and not the Express!

The Wilderness Lodge is absolutely spectacular during the holidays.  You definitely want to visit it!  I would rank it just behind the Grand Floridian and ahead of the Contemporary and the Polynesian.  You can easily get their via boat from the Magic Kingdom boat launch or from the Contemporary Resort.

The Animal Kingdom is the next best in my opinion, just behind the Wilderness Lodge.  Unfortunately, there's no easy way to get there.  If you're already in the Magic Kingdom area, you can take a bus from the Magic Kingdom bus station.  Another option is to take a taxi to the resort.

All of the Epcot Resorts on Crescent Lake, including the Beach and Yacht Clubs, are decorated for the holidays.  You can easily walk around the lake and visit all of the hotels there; besides the Beach and Yacht Clubs, there's also the Boardwalk, Walt Disney World Swan, and Walt Disney World Dolphin.  Like getting to the Animal Kingdom Lodge, you can take a bus from the Magic Kingdom to any of these resorts or just a take a taxi.

Enjoy planning and write back if you have any more questions!
