We are traveling on the Dream on 3/23 for 4 nights. On the optional dress up night are we correct in assuming the jacket for men is optional? And will my 10 year old son be ok in dress shorts and a nice shirt?

    Welcome back, Lesley!

Before you know it, you'll be cruising with Captain Mickey! I know you must be over-the-moon excited.

You are correct, on the optional dress-up night, men are not required to wear a jacket. I think your son will be perfectly proper in dress shorts and a nice shirt as well. Some folks will use the optional dress-up night as an opportunity to get dressed up and take advantage of the shipboard photographers. If you choose to go a more casual route, that's great too!

I hope you and your family have a most magical voyage on the beautiful Disney Dream. Happy sailing! - Diane W.
