Hi Jonine,
I enjoy both of these restaurants. However, I don't think I would necessarily recommend Sanaa for little children. The offerings are a bit unique and I personally don't think my kids would enjoy a lot of the options. As far as animals on the savannah, it gets dark fairly early, so you won't necessarily be able to see them depending on your dinner time. At the Animal Kingdom Lodge, my children really love
Boma - Flavors of Africa. While there are some unique options on the buffet, there is also a great children's buffet section with good 'ole chicken nuggets and pasta that my kids recognize. We eat there on every trip and plan our dinner early enough so that the kids can view the animals before it gets dark. One good thing though is that there are night vision binoculars available that your kids may enjoy using to search the savanna for animals. Even if you don't book dinner at Sanaa or Boma, I still recommend that you visit the Animal Kingdom Lodge just for the opportunity to see how beautiful it is.
My kids all thoroughly enjoy
Teppan Edo. The chefs are very animated and it's a lot of fun to watch them cook the meals right in front of you. My children were all mesmerized as they watched him dice up the food and do tricks with the knives.
I know I didn't give you a definite answer. I wanted to give you input on both options to hopefully make it easier for you to make your decision.
Wishing you a wonderful vacation,
Kaylene
