We will be traveling from to Disneyworld this weekend and have a 3yr old & 19mo old with us. How can we manage to have all of us enjoy with the rain being so bad? What is recommended we wear so we all don't get soaked, especially kids.

    Hi, Julie!

The great thing about Walt Disney World is many of the attractions and shows are indoors as to not ruin your magical vacation!   But, you still have to get around so plan ahead for those nasty raindrops!

Start with using a weather app on your phone that has an hourly forecast.  Hit the parks when it looks like you will have the best chance of some dry weather.   Take along rain ponchos, umbrellas, hats, and light clothing that will dry fast.  If your kids have Crocs or flip flops that dry quickly, that will be their best option.

Toss an extra set of clothes in your backpack.  Sometimes my kids would get grumpy if they were wet so a dry T-shirt was a wonderful item to have in your magic bag!

Whether you are bringing your own stroller or renting one, bring a large plastic tarp or garbage bag to cover your stroller when riding an attraction.  You will be so happy to return to a dry stroller!

And finally, plan for some indoor activities.  Head to Downtown Disney AMC Theaters to see Planes.  Plan a nice long character buffet lunch with Pooh and his Pals at the Crystal Palace.  Hop on the Resort Monorail and make stops at the resorts along the way - check out their lobbies, shops, and restaurants.

Wishing you a fun, sun-filled vacation!  Good luck!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
