Hi there, Michelle, and thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It’s great to have you here! I’m so excited for you and your family to explore the
Disneyland Resort… you’re going to make so many special memories!
The Disneyland Resort definitely works on a different timeline than the
Walt Disney World Resort, especially when it comes to
FastPass+ and advance dining reservations! At Disneyland Resort, dining reservations are typically available 60 days before your arrival. I checked the availability of the
World of Color Dessert Party online, and found that it can currently be booked through September 28, 2019. So, I’d check back in the next couple days for your September 30 date to become available online or over the phone. If you’d prefer to make your reservation over the phone, you can call (714) 781-DINE (3463).
By the way, the World of Color Dessert Party is an outstanding choice… I personally think it’s the best way to view
World of Color! Not only do you get to enjoy comfortable seating and the perfect view, but you also get to enjoy those things while munching on a sweet and savory dessert selection and sparkling beverages… yum!
The other big difference between both coasts is the need to make FastPass+ reservations ahead of time. Here at Disneyland Resort, you’ll make FASTPASS selections on each day of your visit, as soon as you pass through the Main Entrance gates. You can also choose to add
Disney MaxPass to your ticket on a daily basis. MaxPass allows you to make digital FASTPASS selections directly from your phone, which is a big time-saver, especially when you’re park-hopping! Otherwise, you’ll need to walk to each attraction you’d like a FASTPASS for, using the designated FASTPASS distribution points. Another perk of MaxPass is that it includes unlimited digital downloads of your
Disney PhotoPass images!
I hope this helps… please feel free to come back with additional planning questions as your pixie-dusted day gets closer!
See ya’ real soon!
