We are traveling to disneyland november 1-5 and our 2 year old turns 3 on the 4th. Does she need park/event tickets on the 4th and 5th?

Hello Madison, and welcome to planDisney! November is a great time to visit the Disneyland Resort. Happy early birthday to your little one!

You have it right, Madison. Guests ages two and younger do not need a theme park ticket or reservation when visiting the Disneyland Resort with family and friends. However, once a child turns three, they will need a theme park ticket and a reservation.

Madison, there's something extra special you can arrange for your daughter once she turns three. Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique provides royal transformations for kids ages three to twelve. There are a few packages available to choose from, and it's a truly memorable experience! Reservations are required, and you can make one on the Disneyland website.

Once you're in the park, grab a complimentary birthday button for your daughter to wear! Many retail locations as well as City Hall on Main Street, U.S.A. have them – just ask a Cast Member. You can also get an "I'm Celebrating" button for yourself. We've experienced Cast Members, Characters, and even other Guests wishing us a Happy Birthday after noticing the button. It adds a little extra pixie dust to the day.

It would also be fun for your family to experience attractions with a birthday theme. The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh ride has a birthday scene at the end, and you can go for a spin at the Mad Tea Party. We've seen the Mad Hatter there a few times celebrating his "unbirthday."

You'll have a chance to enjoy some of the 70th Anniversary Celebration festivities, too. I'm intrigued by the Key to Disneyland experience – you'd purchase a key and locate the lock station in each land to activate lighting effects and music. And once you visit each station, you can unlock a special surprise inside the key itself!

Madison, I hope you and your family have a wonderful time at the Happiest Place on Earth. If you have any questions between now and then, please reach out. We're always happy to help here at planDisney!
