Hey there, hi there, ho there, Michelle, you’re as welcome as can be to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
Your November visit to the Happiest Place on Earth will be here before you know it, and I couldn’t be more excited for you! The
Holidays at the Disneyland Resort will be in full swing by then, and I can’t wait for you to experience all the magic of the season!
First off, I recommend making at least one
Character Dining reservation. My family’s favorite spot is Minnie & Friends – Breakfast in the Park, which takes place at
Plaza Inn in
Disneyland Park. This is the only Character Dining experience offered inside one of the theme parks. Enjoy a delicious all-you-care-to-enjoy buffet filled with Mickey waffles, French toast, scrambled eggs, made-to-order omelets and more, all while collecting autographs and adorable pictures with favorite Disney Characters. My other favorite
dining destinations in Disneyland Park include Carnation Cafe, Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe, Cafe Orleans, and Blue Bayou Restaurant.
In
Disney California Adventure Park, my favorite spot is Wine Country Trattoria. The food and ambiance are lovely! Lamplight Lounge is another fun spot – the Pixar-themed decor is spot-on! Flo’s V8 Cafe is a great quick-service option with views of Radiator Springs Racers – which will help entertain little ones throughout your meal. You’re also going to want to snack on the infamous Churros (found throughout the parks), DOLE WHIP (Tiki Juice Bar), and Mickey Beignets (Mint Julep Bar) – I’m getting hungry just thinking about these iconic treats!
In Downtown Disney District, your
little ones will get a kick out of watching CrazyShakes being made at
Black Tap Craft Burgers & Shakes! There’s even a special pick-up window just for CrazyShakes if you visit for dessert. Prepare to split these decadent shakes!
I’m happy to report that
Disney Gift Cards can be used throughout the Disneyland Resort theme parks and hotels. Disney Gift Cards can also be used at select Downtown Disney District locations, so I recommend checking with the restaurant or store upon arrival.
Last but not least, as a mom of three Mouseketeers under the age of 8, I highly recommend taking advantage of the
Baby Care Centers with your little ones. There, you’ll be able to change, feed, or nurse your children in a quiet, clean spot. These Centers also include vending machines that offer baby necessities like diapers, wipes, and even sunscreen.
Wishing you a magical, memorable visit to the Disneyland Resort, Michelle!
