We are traveling to Disneyland in late June and my youngest daughter will turn 3 during our trip. We are booked at a Friendly neighbor hotel -does my daughter require a ticket even if she is under 3 at the beginning of our trip?

    Hi, Kimberly!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I’m so glad you visited us with your great question about the Disneyland Resort. I hope you’re looking forward to your trip to the Happiest Place on Earth with your little ones this summer!

If you have booked a vacation package that includes theme park tickets and hotel accommodations at a Disneyland Resort Good Neighbor Hotel, then your daughter is considered the age at check-in for the duration of your visit and will not need a park ticket. However, if you purchased or plan to purchase your theme park tickets separately, then she will technically require a ticket on the day she turns 3 years old and on all subsequent days. This rule is based on the requirement that children’s ages be provided when you book a vacation package, but not when theme park tickets are purchased individually.

I hope this answers your question, Kimberly and that you have a wonderfully pixie-dusted vacation with your family! Please don’t hesitate to visit us again with more planning questions as your trip draws near.

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
