Hi, Connie!
I hope you’re looking forward to a magical vacation at the Happiest Place on Earth with your granddaughters. You’re going to make so many priceless memories together! The Disneyland Resort is extremely accommodating when it comes to
special dietary requests due to food allergies. Many restaurants offer allergy-friendly menus broken down by category with alternate meal options, and your granddaughters are welcome to speak with your restaurant server or a chef to ensure their needs are met.
There are multiple restaurants that don’t have any nut items on the regular menus at all, such as Flo’s V8 Café, Award Wieners, Galactic Grill, and Lucky Fortune Cookery. My favorite dairy-free, nut-free dessert is one of the most iconic Disney treats: Dole Whip! It’s served at the Tiki Juice Bar in Disneyland Park and is a pineapple-flavored soft serve delight. Keep in mind that Guests should always double check in person with regard to allergies before enjoying any food item, as ingredients and menus are subject to change.
For breakfast, check out Carnation Cafe. Your vegan granddaughter can dine on fresh seasonal fruit, steel-cut oatmeal, and even vegan apple-granola pancakes or egg- and dairy-free Mickey waffles made upon request. For lunch or dinner, the unique atmosphere at Blue Bayou Restaurant in Disneyland Park makes it a must-do of mine. I’ve heard a great vegan option there is the portobello mushroom and Louisiana popcorn rice, served with roasted corn, sun-dried tomato and bell pepper. At Flo’s V8 Café in Disney California Adventure Park, you’ll find home-style rotisserie classics in addition to items that can be modified suit a vegan diet.
I hope this helps, Connie. Please visit again with more questions as you continue to plan your trip!
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
