We are traveling to Disneyland for the first time at the beginning of August and staying at a good neighbor hotel. We booked a character meal at Disneyland hotel. What is the best way to get there? Is there a parking fee?

Howdy, Courtney! Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

A meal at Goofy's Kitchen in the Disneyland Hotel is so much fun for the entire family. I have to admit that I was a bit surprised at the quality and variety of food they offered! While they have everything a child could ever want, the more "sophisticated" dishes were top-notch as well. Plus, the dessert buffet had so many delectable options that I felt like a kid in a candy shop.

Depending on which Good Neighbor Hotel you are staying at, you might have a few different ways to get to the Disneyland Hotel. If you are within walking distance, that's usually the best bet as the Disneyland Hotel is just a short walk from the parks. So if you plan on heading to the parks after breakfast, you won't have to worry about moving your car. If you do drive, Guests with dining reservations at Goofy's Kitchen are able to park at the hotel for free for up to three hours with validation. After your meal, you will have to move your car to general theme park parking if you plan to enjoy the parks later.

If you are perhaps going to have dinner at Goofy's Kitchen and will be enjoying Disneyland Park during the day, hop on the Disneyland Monorail about 20-30 minutes prior to your reservation. The Disneyland Monorail will whisk you through the Downtown Disney District where you will only have a very short walk to the Disneyland Hotel. I do suggest checking the wait time for the monorail on the Disneyland app before riding to see if it will save you time or not.

I hope this helps. Have a magnificent time at the Happiest Place on Earth!
