We will be traveling to Disney 11/16-11/22 with our 3 yr old and 1 1/2 yr old. What dining package do you recommend? What restaurants and dining experiences do you recommend especially for our 3 yr old daughter?

    Hello Rachel,

Deciding on what Disney Dining Plan (DDP) works best for your family is such a personal thing. Does your family enjoy sitting down and taking time to enjoy some meals? Then the basic DDP may be best for you. But if your family is always on the go, then the Quick Service DDP may work better.

My family enjoys time out of the sun to relax and eat. So the basic DDP is great for us. For every night of your stay, each Guest (ages 3 and up) in your party receives one Table Service and one Quick service meals and a snack. When we first took our daughter to Disney at age 3, we did a lot of character dinners. So the DDP was a lifesaver. I really believe we saved money this way.

One of our favorite character meals is at Chef Mickey's. Where else can you see all five beloved characters in one spot? Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, and Pluto will take turns stopping at your family's table. I think your kids would love it.

If your daughter is into Princesses, I would suggest Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in Epcot.

When in the Magic Kingdom, we love Casey's Corner for a variety of good ol' hot dogs and Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe - both Quick Service Restaurants. At Cosmic Ray's, there are three bays: burgers, chicken, and sandwiches. So there's bound to be something for your toddler's palette.

At Hollywood Studios, your little ones may like the Disney Junior Play n' Dine at Hollywood and Vine. Their favorite characters come to life as they eat breakfast or lunch. How fun!

I think every Restaurant at Disney - including signature restaurants - really accommodates children. So no matter what DDP you choose, I think your family will have a fabulous dining experience!

    Happy eating!

Meet the Panelist: Monina, Ohio

My family loves our Main Street in Ohio. But there's simply no comparison to Main Street U.S.A.! We don't get to Disney quite as often as I'd like, but that just means finding new ways to sprinkle Pixie Dust on our adventures! Learn More About Monina
