We are traveling to Disney 6/09 with a 2 year old and a 1 year old. I would like convinience first! My son LOVES animals and we are thinking of doing the Animal Kingdom lodge. BUT would it be better to book closer to MK and stay at the Contemporary 4 naps?

    Hi Suzanne,

If convenience is your number one priority, I would opt for staying at the Contemporary Resort.  Animal Kingdom Lodge is absolutely stunning, but you have to take the bus everywhere, including Animal Kingdom.  By staying at Contemporary, you have access to the monorail when going to Magic Kingdom & EPCOT.  This is especially helpful at nap time or at the end of the day when your little ones are falling asleep in the stroller.  You can just wheel them right on to the monorail.

Make sure to make a reservation at Chef Mickey's if you do decide to stay at the Contemporary!

    Have a wonderful vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
