Traveling to Disney 4/7-4-11 with our 1 and 4 year old. Looking at the 1 and 2 bedrooms at the Grand Floridian or Bay View Towers. We will probably only visit Magic Kingdom this trip but do lots of the character meals. Which resort is better for children?

Hi Misty! Congratulations on your upcoming to trip to Walt Disney World. With character meals planned, your little ones are going to have a ball at Magic Kingdom Park.

I love the modern style of Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort and it's just a short walk to Magic Kingdom Park. But given the young age of your children, I'm going to recommend Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa - the pool has a "funtastic" water play area and slide that's perfect for little ones! They'll get a treat from the short monorail ride to Magic Kingdom Park. You can also take the water-taxi to Magic Kingdom Park.

Another good choice would be Disney's Polynesian Resort which has a volcano shaped water slide and a beach play area your kids will love. You can also take ride the monorail to Magic Kingdom Park from this resort.

At the end of the night your little ones should be able to see sparkles in the sky from the "Wishes Nighttime Spectacular" fireworks show above Disney's Magic Kingdom Castle from any of the resorts mentioned.

I hope your trip is magical and memorable.
