Howdy Marcie!! Travelling to Walt Disney World with your one year old will be so magical!! You are going to love it!
Due to a comedy of errors relating to how we packed the car for our trips to Disney World, we accumulated several strollers over the years...seven strollers for two children (multiple times the stroller was left sitting in the garage). We have used everything from Britex to Maclaren, including the stroller sold on Walt Disney World Property.
We had the best luck with the Maclaren but I encourage you to test a few out in the store and make sure you pick the stroller that best fits your needs. How easily does it fold up? How easily does it recline?
Make sure you pick up a rain cover. If you are travelling during the summer, I would also encourage you to take a small battery operated fan to help cool off your little one. One of the most important suggestions I have is for you to take a towel with you to the Theme Parks each day that you can use to cover the stroller. While you are enjoying the various attractions, the stroller will get very hot sitting out in the sun. If you use the towel to cover your stroller each time you go into an attraction, it will help prevent burning your little one's skin.
Are you familiar with the Baby Care Centers? You will find a
Baby Care Center in the four Theme Parks. They have been life savers. They are convenient locations to feed, change and nurse little ones. They also sell a variety of products if you find you are missing an important item such as diaper cream, diapers, or other baby essentials.
Have a wonderful trip! I'm so excited for you!! Please let me know if you have any other questions as you plan your vacation!
