We will be traveling to Disney World with our 4 year old and two and a half year old grandsons and their parents. As grandparents, are there areas for resting and sitting along the way? We cannot wait to watch their excitement as we did with our kids.

It sounds like you have a wonderful family trip planned. Nothing beats a big family Disney World vacation.

The parks can get crowded, and if you don't take time to slow down, it can be easy to get caught up in the excitement and over-extend yourself. But the good news is that there are a number of areas to rest and sit around Disney's theme parks, including benches, seating areas, and restaurants. Even some of the park rides offer relaxing and cool places to sit, such as it's a Small World, Tomorrowland Transit Authority, Peter Pan's Flight, Carousel of Progress, The Hall of Presidents, and Ellen's Energy Adventure.

Remember to enjoy the vacation at your own pace. Listen to your body and only go on rides and attractions that you want to enjoy. You do not have to go on every ride or attraction that your children and grandchildren ride. Do not be afraid to tell your children and grandchildren that you want to sit a particular ride out. Take as many breaks as you need and keep hydrated. Consider returning to your resort in the middle of the day to relax in your room or by the pool. While spending time with your family will be wonderful, do not be afraid to tell your family that you need some alone time to recharge. As much energy as your grandchildren may seem to have, believe it or not, they'll likely also need to take breaks. Perhaps even more than you.

Enjoy your vacation and time with your family.
