We are traveling to Disney World for the 1st time May-June '13 with my family, 3 girls ages 2,5,6 & a 13 year old son.We will be staying at Orange Lake but visiting Disney parks.I am looking for any recommendations and suggestions to make this awesome!

    Hi Tara!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I suggest picking up a good tour book since it is your first visit.  I suggest picking up the book "The Complete Walt Disney World" by Julie and Mike Neal.  It is a great book for first time visitors as it is full of information, but it is not overwhelming.  It is also a beautiful book full of color photographs.  I highly recommend it.  It will give you a good feel for everything there is to do at Walt Disney World.

Also be sure to make Advance Dining Reservations (ADRs).  They are critical for dining in one of the Table Service restaurants at Walt Disney World.  ADRs can be made online or by calling (407) WDW-DINE.  With young children, I suggest making some Disney Character Dining reservations.  My favorites are Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary Resort, breakfast at Cape May Cafe in the Beach Club, and breakfast and lunch at Tusker House in Disney's Animal Kingdom.

I suggest planning at least one day in each park if time allows.  If you only have a couple of days, I would suggest visiting the Magic Kingdom and Disney's Hollywood Studios.  One can easily spend two full days in the Magic Kingdom, especially with young children.

I hope this helps!  Please write back with more questions!
