I will be traveling to Disney World in October with my daughter and granddaughter. My granddaughter and I are very light eaters and usually share a meal Would it be beneficial to purchase the dining plan or pay as we go?

    Hi Karen,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question!

I’ll be honest, I rarely add a Disney Dining Plan to my visits to Walt Disney World Resort because I think that it’s just way too much food! Although my family and I definitely like to eat, we often share meals, especially at counter service locations. We would always end our vacations with several snack and quick service entitlements left over. While we often used our leftover snack entitlements to bring food-based souvenEARs home for our friends and family who weren’t able to travel with us, it still felt like a bit of a waste…

Because you describe your granddaughter and yourself as “very light eaters”, I would recommend against adding a Disney Dining Plan to your upcoming vacation. You’ll likely save money by paying for each of your meals individually.

I hope my answer helps you plan your upcoming vacation. Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
