Hi! We are traveling to Disney World next month and we will be visiting two parks in one day, Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Which park do you suggest we start at first?

Hey there, Rachel! Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney! We're always thrilled to help guests plan every magical detail of their upcoming Disney vacations.

Park hopping is one of the best ways to maximize your time and experience the magic across multiple parks, especially when your trip is shorter or you have specific attractions you don’t want to miss.

For your upcoming vacation, I recommend starting your day in the park that has the most must-do attractions on your list. This way, you can take advantage of shorter wait times in the morning before hopping to your next park in the afternoon or evening. Crowds tend to be lower in the mornings, giving you plenty of time to enjoy.

I would kick things off at Disney’s Hollywood Studios right at rope drop. My first stop would be Toy Story Land to experience Slinky Dog Dash, followed by some friendly competition on Toy Story Mania, and a quick spin on Alien Swirling Saucers. After that, I’d make my way to either Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge to take on Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run or Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway for a picnic adventure. Before heading out, I’d be sure to get one last thrill on The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror to wrap up my Hollywood Studios visit.

From there, I’d boat over to EPCOT for an evening filled with incredible attractions, delicious foods, and a breathtaking fireworks finale. There’s something truly magical about seeing Spaceship Earth illuminate the night sky while tasting flavors from around the world. My top must-do attractions here include Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, and Soarin’ Around the World. To top it all off, ending the night with Luminous The Symphony of Us would be the perfect way to close out an epic park hopping day! You'll be visiting during EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival, so you could dance the evening away at a Garden Rocks Concert!

Rachel, consider purchasing Lightning Lanes to help maximize your time in the parks by not having to wait in line.

If you find that you need more help planning your Disney day, please stop by and see us again! We're always here to help!

    Toodles,
