Traveling to disney world with my mother and grandmother for a girls weekend. My grandmother has some difficulty with her mobility. What would be the best resort to stay at?

Hi, Britny!   You might want to look into Port Orleans French Quarter.  This Moderate Resort is very contained with not too much walking.   With just about 1,000 rooms, it is much smaller than the other Moderates.    Request a building near The Mint (main building and lobby) and also a first floor room to avoid steps or the elevator.

I just got back from a weekend at this resort, and it was so lovely!   We had a view of the pool and in the evenings the horse and carriage rides would go past our room.  We were in Building 2 and it was just a few minute walk over to the food court, bus stop, and main areas.   There is a nice lounge area for an evening beverage for you girls to celebrate your weekend together.  You can even take a boat ride to Downtown Disney for dinner or shopping.  I highly recommend this resort!  Have fun!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is sailing with Disney Cruise Line, running (or cheering!) at runDisney events, taking hula lessons at Aulani, or vacationing at the Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. I am proud to be a part of the planDisney team and cannot wait to share my tips and advice for a magical vacation
