We will be traveling to Disney World with our kids 9 (almost 10) and 14 for the first time. We know Disneyland well, but not the Florida Parks. We are big Disney Trivia Buffs and the kids want to go behind the scenes to learn "Secret Stuff". An

    Hi Tammy!

So excited to hear that you are now becoming a bi-coastal Disney Family! I am a huge Disney Trivia Buff too! I love reading all the books, taking the tours and watching videos on Disney trivia.

Some of the tours that visit some of the backstage areas require Guests to be a minimum of 16 years of age. They don't want to spoil the magic for younger Guests. Think of those areas as dressing rooms, closets and prep areas. Even some adults only like seeing the onstage areas of Disney.

There are some tours that your kids can take part in:
    * Behind the Seeds at Epcot (all ages)
    * Disney's Family Magic Tour at Magic Kingdom (all ages) - your 14 year old may feel too old for this one.
    * Epcot Seas Aqua Tour (ages 8 & up)
    * Wild Africa Trek at Animal Kingdom (ages 8 & up)

Your 14 year old will have a couple of additional tour options, but if you want to do one as a family those are the current selections. The link above has details on each of these but you're welcome to ask us for more details as well.

A few years ago, the History Channel produced an excellent video called "Modern Marvels - Walt Disney World". You'd love it! Watch it & then you can see everything they talk about when you go.

Disney World also offers VIP Tour Services. You'd have your own personal Tour Guide with you as you go throughout the parks. Not only will they help you navigate the parks, they will tell you all kinds of trivia and interesting facts. You don't go behind the scenes but this is a great way to travel the "world". There is more info on the link above.

Please feel free to visit again if you need other suggestions. We're hEAR to help!  Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison
