We will be traveling to Disney World June 17-22. Our plane arrives in Orlando at 9:00am. By the time we check in at Art of Animation it will be late morning. What plan do you suggest for visiting the parks this first day. Our grand kids age 5 and 7 yr

    Hi Kathryn!

Looks like you arrive the day after we leave Walt Disney World! The activities you plan out depends on the type of tickets you have purchased. If you have a 5 day ticket, I would definitely go to a park that evening. I mean if you have the ticket and aren't planning to go to a park on your departure date then it's worth it just to at least walk around and get the kids nice and excited about going back during the week. You can always hit some of the rides that have short lines and then do the longer line rides on your following days.

If you do not have a five day pass, I would just try to relax around the resort. There are so many things to do there! One of my favorite things to do one evenings when we don't go to the parks is take to a bus to Magic Kingdom, then get on the resort Monorail to the Polynesian resort. Then let the kids play on the beach waiting for Wishes to start. It's wonderful for the young kids because the distance is far enough where it doesn't scare them and it will give you a wonderful start to your week!

Thank you so much for asking the Moms Panel!!! If you have additional questions, we are always here to help!
