I will be traveling to Disney World in June 2015 with my 3 children (all under age 10) and my parents. My parents will both be using motorized scooters to get around. Do the buses have room for more than one scooter at a time, or will we have to split up

Hi Jennifer! One of the reasons that I love the Walt Disney World Resort is because it is so incredibly accessible for everyone! I can’t think of any other place that really goes above and beyond to try to accommodate every guest.

It has been my experience with each bus I have personally been on; they have been able to accommodate two scooters. There is an area on the bus that the seats fold up, the scooters are able to be driven on the bus, and then the bus driver anchors the scooters. With that being said there is always still a chance that you may have to split up.

While using a motorized chair or ECV’s keep in mind that there is a standard lift size of 30” x 48”. The device must fit on the lift without being forced. If you are traveling on Disney’s Magical Express with a scooter, they ask that you note this on your reservation.

Lastly, here is a guide to Services for Guests with Mobile Disabilities.

I hope that you have an amazing vacation! Thank you so much for your question, stop by any time.
