    We are traveling to Disney world in July and are staying in our first moderate resort. We are debating between Coronado Springs or the Carribean resort. We are traveling with two 10 year olds and a 2 year old. Which would be the best resort for us?

    Hi Derek!  This is a question where many of us have our own personal preferences so I will share mine and the reasons behind my choice.

    I prefer Coronado Springs resort over the Caribbean Beach resort at Walt Disney World.  Coronado Springs has the stigma that it is a convention resort as it does have wonderful convention facilities located on property. But I have never found that to be a negative as these are the people who are busy with their own meetings during the daytime hours and not using the resort facilities making the pools less used and more available to other guests.  It also includes a great restaurant called Rix, some spa services, business office, and the other normal moderate amenities.

    The best part of Coronado Springs is that it has recently been refurbished and  all rooms now have two queen beds versus the other moderates having only doubles in their rooms.  As with all moderates you can sometimes find them a little large and will need to use the internal buses to get from one point to the next but you can't really do much about that unless you upgrade to a deluxe resort.
